Get Up, Stand Up Smoothie

This is really a good energy booster to start your day. A breakfast that combines food and drink for people who don’t have time to prepare a full breakfast in the morning, it even has caffeine to get you going

Get Up, Stand Up Smoothie (2)

  • 1 banana
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 4 Tsp cocoa powder
  • 1 Tsp strong coffee

Chuck all ingredients into a blender and give it a good whiz.

Pour into a glass and drink before dashing out of the door.

I always keep overripe bananas, peeled and chopped in bags in my freezer, this way I don’t have to waste time preparing in the morning and it helps give the smoothie that nice ice-creamy texture we’re looking for, with out the need of using ice.
