  • 6 bananas
  • 80g milk chocolate
  • 3 sprigs fresh mint
  • 30g stem ginger

Hello lovely people, I’m sure everyone is busy with the holidays if not staying indoors wrapping themselves with several blankets and staying away from the cold, today is 12-12-12, which is a special date, I’m sure many of you had a special occasion on this date, anyways lets get back to the real deal, COOKING

I had a few friends over last night, helping them pack, so I popped in the kitchen to create a super fast dessert, which everyone loved, I personally ate two.

While preparing the bananas pre-heat the oven , break the chocolate up into small even-sized pieces.

pick the mint leaves and discard the stalk and finely chop together with the ginger. With a sharp knife, slit the bananas from top to bottom on the inner curved side,

put 3-4 pieces of chocolate through the slit in the skin of each banana, then into the banana itself, divide and push in the minty ginger as well, then wrap each banana separately in aluminium foil. Leave in the oven for about 15 minutes, turning halfway, then transfer to a clean chopping board.

carefully unwrap the bananas and serve with teaspoons to scoop the chocolaty banana out of the skin…..Enjoy !

** The best thing about this, is that you can add whatever you like, marshmallows, pinch of cinnamon, any kind of chocolate, honey, feel free to experiment, plus this is great for picnics, you can prepare them beforehand and cook them over the barbeque, but make sure to double wrap them.
