French Toast

Hello my lovely people, I do apologise for not posting any new recipes the last few months, was extremely busy and still my should is in sever pain for the last month or so, still on medications, which i personally hate and don’t like using pills, thanks for all your messages  and concerns, anyway lets get cooking. This quick recipe is  wonderful and you have to try it

French Toast (13)

  • 2 bananas, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 50g pecan nuts, roughly chopped
  • 4 slices of white bread
  • 2 eggs, even one is enough
  • 1 teacup of milk
  • 1 knob of butter
  • sprinkle of icing sugar

Mix the bananas together with the pecan nuts and honey. Divide the mixture equally between 2 slices of the bread, leaving a slight space along the edges of the bread. Top with the other 2 slices to make 2 sandwiches.

Heat a pan over medium heat. Crack the eggs into a bowl and beat in the milk. Dip both sides of the banana sandwiches in the egg mixture. Melt the butter in the frying pan. Fry each sandwich gently for 4 minutes, turning halfway through cooking, until nicely coloured and warmed through.

Dust with the icing sugar and enjoy.



  1. Glad you like it, it’s pretty simple and delicious, you could also replace the bananas with sliced strawberries.
    Btw I love your herb onion rings, will surely give them a go…….yummy!!
