Spicy Crunchy Chickpeas

The other night, I was in the mood to watch Gangs of New York (again) and was shocked not to find any popcorn or crisps in my pantry, so obviously you can’t sit and watch a Two and a Half hour long movie without a snack, So, I decided to use what I had, and make spicy toasted chickpeas. The result was one of the best and quickest snacks you can ever make

Spicy Chickpeas (9)

  • 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1 Tbsp chilli powder
  • 1 Tbsp ground cumin
  • 1 Tbsp salt and pepper
  • 1Tbsp olive oil

Preheat oven to 350°F. Dry and drain the chickpeas Toss together all ingredients in a bowl and mix until well coated.

The ground cumin that we added with give it that wonderful flavour.

Toast for 15-20 minutes or until crispy, make sure to stir halfway and enjoy.
