Brain Damaging Habits


Its about time we develop good health habits

1. Skipping Breakfast
People who do not take breakfast are going to have a lower blood sugar level. This leads to an insufficient supply of nutrients to the brain causing brain degeneration.

Some people who do not eat breakfast will suffer headaches or stomach-aches and may not think straight during the day.

2. Overeating
it causes hardening of the brain arteries, leading to a decrease in mental power, and lets not forget obesity.

3. Working your brain during illness
Working hard or studying with sickness may lead to a decrease in effectiveness of the brain as well as damage the brain. So you can use this as a good excuse not to work or do your homework when sick.homework = brain damage

4. Smoking
It causes multiple brain shrinkage and may lead to Alzheimer disease.

The brain is connected to the heart and the lungs through arteries. These arteries supply oxygen and other chemicals to the brain. So, when a person smokes, the chemicals inhaled are sent to the brain. Smoking causes brain shrinking that may lead to Alzheimer disease.

Smoking blocks the carotid artery. So, blood supply to the brain cells are cut off. This results in a stroke, called cerebral thrombosis. Smoker’s risk of having a stroke is 1.5 times more than non-smokers.sugar

5. High Sugar Consumption
Too much sugar will interrupt the absorption of proteins and nutrients causing malnutrition and may interfere with brain development. Moreover will weaken our immune system.

6. Air Pollution
The brain is the largest oxygen consumer in our body. Inhaling polluted air decreases the supply of oxygen to the brain, bringing about a decrease in brain deficiency. In addition that the body will absorb the bad chemicals in the air. Sleepy

7. Sleep Deprivation
We all know that, sleep allows our brain to rest.

Long-term deprivation from sleep will accelerate the death of brain cells. During sleep, some of our brain cells are inactive and reactivate when we are totally awake. It will also decrease alertness and will impair your memory and your ability to think and process information. And often causes memory loss.

8. Lacking in stimulating thoughts
Thinking is the best way to train our brain, lacking in brain stimulation thoughts may cause brain shrinkage. To avoid it you can play some board games like chess, etc.

9. Covering your head while Sleeping  Covering your head while Sleeping
Sleeping with the head covered increases the concentration of carbon dioxide and  decreases concentration of oxygen that may lead to brain damaging effects.

10. Talking Rarely
Intellectual conversations will promote the efficiency of the brain.

  1. My 19 year old daughter has began passing out – like fainting. She has been placed on medical leave of absence and is struggling to get a diagnosis and treatment so she can return to work and college. After dissecting her life and habits, her father and I feel that her covering up up her head while she sleeps has something to do with it. Her father and I feel her ‘spells’ appear to be a lack of oxygen to the brain and it just shuts down and a few minutes later she is awake and ok. Any input will be appreciated.
