Cheesy Garlic Bread

Simple and easy garlic bread that everyone will love.

  • 125g mozzarella ball
  • 100g butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • handful parsley leaves, chopped
  • 1 long baguette
  • pinch of paprika
  • lemon zest, optional
  • red chilli peppers, optional

Preheat the oven (375), chop the mozzarella into small chunks and tip into a bowl with the butter, garlic, herbs and some salt and pepper and mix all together.

Cut diagonal slices along the loaf about 3/4 of the way into the bread – do not cut all the way through.

Put the garlic butter between each cut, allowing some to ooze onto the top – it will caramelise and taste superb. Sprinkle the paprika over.

Sprinkle the lemon zest over the top, you don’t have to put much, but trust me a very small amount makes a big difference, If using red chilli peppers finely slice and sprinkle on top of the loaf.

Wrap in aluminium foil, leaving it slightly open along the top. Bake for around 20 minutes until the cheese has melted.


Have a peek – if the cheese is melting and the bread is crispy, then it’s ready.
